A valued staff member since 2015, Maria helps women between the ages of 15 to 45 access health services. She coordinates all aspects of Vecino Health Centers’ preconception-prenatal-postnatal continuum of care. Working closely with expecting and new mothers, Maria supports them during pregnancy and provides health education to ensure healthy outcomes for them and their children.
Education: Maria completed her training as a Medical Assistant at Houston Community College and earned her Community Health Worker Certification at the University of Houston’s Honors College.
Background: Bilingual and bicultural, Maria is a proud wife and mother of three children. She enjoys jogging and trying new healthy recipes. As a mother and wife, she promotes a culture of health in her household that transpires in her work. Patients find Maria to be a caring professional who is especially adept at supporting women in their wellness and motherhood journeys.
